How long have you been gaming?:
I started playing EverQuest when I was 7 years old.. Pretty much consisted of me having 30 level 5 characters, but I enjoyed it.. Transitioned into Team Fortress Classic and Half Life as I got older and have pretty much been playing MMO's ever since.
What do you look for in a video game in order for you to play it? List at least one game which stands out for you and explain why it is superior to the others you have played:
I like games that offer a high risk, high reward type of gameplay. So, in the case of Darkfall, I love that I can be rewarded for a good PvP fight. Instead of just killing someone and getting "reputation bonuses" like in other MMO's I've played, I can actually take somones loot, or they can take mine, depending on who wins the fight.
Describe one of the greatest gaming moments of your life and why it stands out among others (Regarding multi player PC games):
I've had a lot of awesome gaming moments, but the one that stands out the most to me is in Counter Strike: Source. It was my teams final match of the season in a league called "CAL" and we had to win to advance to the playoffs for the division we were in. It came down to the last round and my team got killed early on, so it was me against 3 enemy players. With 3 seconds left in the round, I was able to plant the bomb and go on to win the round, and in turn advance my team to the playoffs. We ended up going out early in the playoffs, but I will never forget that moment and the amount of joy that my team and I had from winning that round..
Explain briefly your least favorite kind of person to play with (characteristics, personality):
I don't like selfish players. Someone who will abandon their own clannies in a fight because it's an un-winnable fight, etc. is someone who I'd rather not play with.
Describe an experience where you had to act as a leader (either planned or improvised):
I've led many different Counter Strike teams, however, in relation to MMO's, I was the leader of an Aion "legion" called "Evil Empire" for well over a year. This involved leading a roster of over 50 players in clan-wide PvP events which included Fort Sieges, "Rifting," and much more.
Darkfall: Unholy Wars related (!)
Warrior, skirm, primalist or elementalist - Which will you prefer?:
I've been a Warrior since launch, so at this moment I definitely prefer being a Warrior. However, I may consider trying out Skirm or Primalist eventually.
How much time will you be able to play Unholy Wars each day:
I work from home, so I can pretty much play whenever needed. However, on average, I usually play about 5-6 hours a day.
How much Prowess does your character currently have?
84.41K
What crafting skills, if any, have you spent time working on?
I have an Armor Smithing mastery to about 50 in Skill. Currently working on maxing that.
Are you able to communicate in comms during a fight? (This is a big one)
Definitely!
Clan related (!)
Why did you apply to Covert Operations?:
I've fought along side CO in sieges and world PvP numerous times, and every time I do, I am impressed by the amount of communication and skill Covert Operations has.
How will you be an asset to Covert Operations?:
I am an active individual with the desire to be great at this game. I am able to take constructive criticism and am a very quick learner. I feel like I would be a great asset to Covert Operations if you were to accept me into your clan.
Do you have any friends in the clan? If so, list who they are and give a brief history with them.
I don't know anyone on a personal level
Previous clan(s) & the reason why you left:
Lost Minions - I left LM because I felt the direction they were going in was not right for me. It felt like there was no desire to get better from certain individuals, of course that's not the case across the entire clan, but I felt it would be best to go my separate ways.
How involved were you in your previous clans? (Leadership positions, politics, etc):
I had the "Warrant Officer" rank.. Which is basically someone who has a little bit more TeamSpeak permissions than the average member. So, I was not involved in politics, or anything of that nature, but I did try to help the newer players as much as I possibly could by giving them tips, etc.
Figured I should mention that I am applying along side of a few friends that I've been playing Darkfall with for a few months now. They are creating applications as well, but we hope to all stick together in whatever clan we do end up joining, and we hope that clan is Covert Operations!
Thanks
