Really really weak app dude. Just answering the questions with one liners doesn't leave a good impression. Kinda makes it feel like you are half assing this process. Which would "perhaps" work if you are a god on the battlefield.
Saw that you are a package deal with the rest of LM applying here. This is usually how it seems to go, the "leader" of the group provides a solid app and then the rest kinda just rides on his. This doesn't work though.
Make yourself interesting and above all else, make us WANT you.

I hope there was no assumption that there is a package deal.
I don't personally care about an applicants favorite gaming experience or history.
However, I am interested in seeing if they can show their desire for something that appears obviously valuable to them by putting effort into questions like these on our application.
I don't get that from this one.

I come from the land of business, where getting straight to the point is important and filling out a page with fluff is not desired. My app is much like my personality. I am a calm, calculated individual who likes to play PC games with my friends in between meetings and dealing with a girlfriend who's needs seem to be limitless. If you would like to know more about me, feel free to pm. Otherwise, I will be by to fight with my buds.

If the desire to join this clan is shown in the lack of luster in your app, then I vote no.
I don't care which country you're from honestly, simply writing "This was a group decision made between friends." shows me that you have no clue why this clan would be a fit nor do you have any desire to play with CO, just the LM branch.

If you would like to know more about me, feel free to pm. Otherwise, I will be by to fight with my buds. We come from the land of actually caring about wanting to join a collective of people who care about getting better at a game together. Hence why we have "fluff" to determine whether or not you care enough, it also allows us a methodology of dictating whether or not you fit in. If you don't care, that's fine, there are many other don't care clans out there, in fact that was the same clan you left. We aren't however one of them. I'm 2 years older then you, have a gf, and just recently got out of a job in which I managed 15 technicians, and was in the Navy shortly before that. Even then, I found enough care in me to write a legitimate app. I'm not going to "force" care out of you to write a legit app, but if you are worse then all the other CO members it will be ironic that someone who abhors "fluff" hasn't taken the time to learn how to play the game at least. Also, if you haven't noticed, this is an online clan, not the world of business and in the world of business, it is unfortunately fulled with fluff.

After reading your app I know about five more things about you than I could have picked up just by looking at your character in game, and none of them tell me anything about your personality. The only impression I've gotten from you is that you have little to no interest in being known by this clan. I work in business too. I couldn't tell you ten things about my manager, and I've worked with him for a year. I didn't even know he was married for six months. We keep things crisp and professional. I've never given my life for my manager. I've never rezzed him from inside of a swarm of hostiles. I've never had to know him so well that I didn't need to ask what he was going to do when finding ourselves in the middle of a 2v10. I've never had to put my life/gear/time into his hands. Food for thought

The Novel Version For Those Interested
The real you (!)
IRL First Name: My name is David, some call me Dave.
Age: I am 28 years old.
Country/Timezone: I hail from the country known as the United States of America. On the western shores of the gold coast, I reside in the County of Angels, locals call it Los Angeles. This would place me in the Pacific Time Zone in relation to the world as a whole.
The virtual you (!)
Usual In-game/Forum Alias: Some call me Cry, others call my Crymoar, but the virtual world of Darkfall calls me Crymoar Tears.
How long have you been gaming?: I have been gaming for nearly 17 years. Starting with Ultima Online and an MSN connection.
What do you look for in a video game in order for you to play it? List at least one game which stands out for you and explain why it is superior to the others you have played: I am a huge proponent for open market and risk vs reward. If there is no risk, there is no excitement. However, with increased risk, there should be greater reward. In all games I play, this is what I look for.
Describe one of the greatest gaming moments of your life and why it stands out among others (Regarding multi player PC games): It was early morning, the clouds over head, and a grey mist gave us an uneasy feeling. There were 5 of us, huddled around a red mark painted on the ground. We hear the count down, ominous, but we knew exactly what it meant. We quickly purchased armaments, and headed towards our positions. "Double doors" my team mate shouted over the mic. Quickly processing what that meant, several HE projectiles were thrown towards the half opened door landing us our first mark. "Four to go" was heard over the mic. I line my optical enhancement towards footsteps heard in the distance, squeeze, one more down. I then hear an exchange in the distance, and the match is over. We had won the tournament. Some cried. It was an emotional experience.
Explain briefly your least favorite kind of person to play with (characteristics, personality): People who do not put enough information in their clan applications.
Describe an experience where you had to act as a leader (either planned or improvised): I work for a fortune 5 company. Not a fortune 500 company. Just 5. I manage team that manages a portfolio valued at just over one billion dollars. I expect excellence and execution.
Darkfall: Unholy Wars related (!)
Warrior, skirm, primalist or elementalist - Which will you prefer?: The skirmisher role seems to be my cup of tea.
How much time will you be able to play Unholy Wars each day: During the week, 1-2 hours. On Weekends, 3-4.
How much Prowess does your character currently have? I have Fifty Seven Thousand Prowess. What crafting skills, if any, have you spent time working on? I do not enoy crafting. What do I look like? A farmer?
Are you able to communicate in comms during a fight? (This is a big one) English is my first language. I have a mic button set on my keyboard which allows me to use said English. I am intelligent enough to know when to hit the mic and make words.
Clan related (!)
Why did you apply to Covert Operations?: Our group had a several hour meeting on multiple occasions to discuss the future of our group. It was very intricate, I can assure you. There was an island and voting and everything. We felt that based on our experience with Covert Operations and our current desires, we would be a good match.
How will you be an asset to Covert Operations?: Well, this is a team, a social group, the word asset seems a little too much like business for me. I would be a good friend. It's as simple as that.
Do you have any friends in the clan? If so, list who they are and give a brief history with them. No, I have no personal relationships with anyone in the clan, romantic or otherwise. Previous clan(s) & the reason why you left: LM - It's simply due to the direction they are taking the clan.
How involved were you in your previous clans? (Leadership positions, politics, etc): My rank was fourth from the top. More often then not, we started pvp groups and invited whoever wanted to go with us. It's as simple as that.

Much better Are you able to communicate in comms during a fight? (This is a big one) English is my first language. I have a mic button set on my keyboard which allows me to use said English. I am intelligent enough to know when to hit the mic and make words. I will point out that communications is a lot more complicated than pressing a button. It's also a lot more complicated than making words. Covert Operations is one of the highest tier clans in the entire game, and it is such because we communicate. Without that discipline, we'd just be peasants. From your (second) app, it sounds like you will have litte trouble picking up on our methods. Please don't assume, though, that what we do is simple or easy in any way. How will you be an asset to Covert Operations?: Well, this is a team, a social group, the word asset seems a little too much like business for me. I would be a good friend. It's as simple as that. It's closer to a combat outfit than anything. Dead weight is just that. If you can't keep up and be an asset in a fight, it's going to strain relations regardless of all other factors.

Tempted to make an executive Minister decision here and just preemptively deny this app. This guy is like Nacitar but not nearly as good of a player.

Go for it Ky. The 2nd App would have been an entertaining first but for a few parts. However, as a 2nd try, not so much.
I think Dave is actually upset that Mr. Fortune 5 got called out on a clan app. Thin skin much? Maybe you can buy a membership! Way to pump up your e-cred with unverifiable real life 'facts.'

Sorry if I am not taking this seriously enough for you guys. I did intend to mix fact with fiction to create something a bit more fun for the novel version of my application. I am respectfully withdrawing my application. As for the rest of the group, please do not let my actions negatively affect theirs. They are fun guys to play with and I am sure they will make a great addition to your team.
Best Regards, David
