The real you (!)
IRL First Name: Greg
Age: 22
Country/Timezone: USA/EST
The virtual you (!)
Usual In-game/Forum Alias: Vondosar Usrex/ N/A
How long have you been gaming?: 3-4 Months
What do you look for in a video game in order for you to play it? List at least one game which stands out for you and explain why it is superior to the others you have played:
I am interested in games that include both small and large scale PvP, and further, PvP in which combat strategy and terrain usage make a significant impact on the outcome of the battle. Darkfall Unholy Wars is my first gaming, but it seems to be exactly what I want in a game(maybe more content).
Describe one of the greatest gaming moments of your life and why it stands out among others (Regarding multi player PC games): One of my favorite gaming moments involves small scale PvP with the group that I am applying to CO with. We decided to go out and attempt to find PvP around erinthel (we are ex LM players) near the height of the LM Blood conflict. After fairly extensive discussion about the mentality of the Blood players we determined that when they saw our clan tags they would come out in force and pursue us until either we, or they, were dead. Based on that analysis, and our current group comp, we decided that an ambush far enough from their city that reinforcements would be delayed was the ideal strategy. We scouted the area and eventually found the area we felt provided us with the greatest tactical advantage, both offensively and defensively. In the end the ambush went off without a hitch and it was my first small scale PvP encounter with a group of individuals who are now good friends.
Explain briefly your least favorite kind of person to play with (characteristics, personality):
Individuals who are incapable of accepting that they made a mistake. This mentality prevents them from learning from their mistake and improving as a player and a person.
Describe an experience where you had to act as a leader (either planned or improvised):
Leadership within the group that I play with regularly is highly fluid dependent upon the situation at hand and how it plays into the strengths of each player present.
Darkfall: Unholy Wars related (!)
Warrior, skirm, primalist or elementalist - Which will you prefer?: Primarily warrior, though I do enjoy strength skirmisher from time to time.
How much time will you be able to play Unholy Wars each day: My final semester in college begins shortly so I will not have a concrete schedule over the next 6 months. I anticipate that my availability will vary from 1/3 hours of active play daily, barring extenuating circumstances like finals.
How much Prowess does your character currently have? 111.2k
What crafting skills, if any, have you spent time working on? Bowyer mastery, and I'm nearly to R30's in every other field so I can salvage random broken items I get from scraping.
Are you able to communicate in comms during a fight? (This is a big one)
Yes
Clan related (!)
Why did you apply to Covert Operations?: After discussing with the group I play with we feel that CO would ideologically be an excellent fit that would allow us to continue to grow as players and people.
How will you be an asset to Covert Operations?: My desire to improve as a player and learn from my mistakes and the mistakes of those around be will help to cultivate a positive clan atmosphere in CO.
Do you have any friends in the clan? If so, list who they are and give a brief history with them. N/A.
Previous clan(s) & the reason why you left: LM, I had ideological differences with Krush. While he has many strengths PvP, and combat strategy was not one of them. I look for a clan leader whose bravado and combat competency inspire dedication to the clan and motivate others to improve.
How involved were you in your previous clans? (Leadership positions, politics, etc): I was a sergeant in LM. Ultimately I was more involved than a significant portion of the LM population, but not as dedicated to LM as the individuals who has been with Krush since Beta.
