The real you (!)
IRL First Name: Brian
Age: 37
Country/Timezone: USA / EST
The virtual you (!)
Usual In-game/Forum Alias: Massium
How long have you been gaming?: MMOs - 10
What do you look for in a video game in order for you to play it? List at least one game which stands out for you and explain why it is superior to the others you have played:
For me it is all about the combat. Must have FPS movement / aiming, be relatively fast paced, and pvp focused. The rest can be pretty bad and I'd still play it. DF1 pretty much ruined all MMOs for me. Tera was close with the combat but pvp was broken.
Describe one of the greatest gaming moments of your life and why it stands out among others (Regarding multi player PC games):
Not a MMO but in BF3 I went on a streak of ~15kills using a shotty, pistol, and C4 while destroying the final 2 MCOMs on a Rush map (hardcore server).
Explain briefly your least favorite kind of person to play with (characteristics, personality):
Anyone that causes drama. Also can't stand anyone that can't keep quiet during pvp or follow calls.
Describe an experience where you had to act as a leader (either planned or improvised):
I lead all day at work as an engineering project manager, so I perfer to be a "soldier" when I'm gaming. I've lead guilds in the past and have been the group lead for many arena teams over the years in several different games.
Darkfall: Unholy Wars related (!)
Warrior, skirm, primalist or elementalist - Which will you prefer?: Primalist
How much time will you be able to play Unholy Wars each day:
I am pretty much on every day from ~9:30 - 1:00AM EST. No flexibility with my career and 3 girls under 8yrs old. Do travel for 1-2 weeks internationally a few times a year - next trip is Sept or Oct.
How much Prowess does your character currently have?
~89k - Wisdom & Strength boosters, most points in Primalist (can main either school) with some in Warrior
What crafting skills, if any, have you spent time working on?
Nothing to mastery level - no interest either honestly.
Are you able to communicate in comms during a fight? (This is a big one):
I'm 100% I'll meet your expectations here; 3rd person, relevant info, actual directions, numbers, etc... Nor will you have to ask "why are you not with the group?"
Clan related (!)
Why did you apply to Covert Operations?:
Looking for a group of that is focused on PVP, always looking to improve, does things as a group, and laid back. I grouped with some of you guys a few times when we were in the same alliance living in Tughri and liked what I saw.
How will you be an asset to Covert Operations?:
Solid Primalist who can survive being chased around by warriors to throw heals and battle rez. Can hold my own in 1v1 but not really my interest. Team player, no drama, always looking to improve. Will drop what ever I'm doing to help clan members. Don't care about pixels but I hate to lose!
Do you have any friends in the clan? If so, list who they are and give a brief history with them.
No, but I was in CO briefly in Tera. But everyone quit playing a week after I joined. Regret not joining you guys at start of DFUW, but followed some friends who since quit playing. Some interaction with CO in DFUW - see above.
Previous clan(s) & the reason why you left:
DF1: Volex Morte - Dissolved around the ray spam era (when I quit playing also).
DFUW: Grief - I don't really have anything bad to say about them. Good people for the most part. Things that have lead to me applying to CO include; Not much focus on PVP, many members lack the drive to improve, most PVP is reactionary (being raided, helping other getting jumped as spawns), no group PVP outings, ship outings are a disaster typically. All the guys I joined with have quit DF and many other that I used to PVP with are gone as well.
How involved were you in your previous clans? (Leadership positions, politics, etc):
No official responsibilities while in Grief.
