The real you (!)
IRL First Name: Jeff
Age:42
Country/Timezone: PST (BestCoast)
The virtual you (!)
Usual In-game/Forum Alias: Getz Payd/Banked
How long have you been gaming?:Since '98
What do you look for in a video game in order for you to play it? List at least one game which stands out for you and explain why it is superior to the others you have played:
Sandbox, non-lvl based, non-instanced, in depth crafting system and skill option. Diversity. The game I compare ALL games to (as do many others) is UO. First MMO I played and still to this day, hands down, the most best. IMO. The reasons I liked it so much are many, but I will try to only name a few.
1. Character skill differences. The shear number of viable character builds that were available was astonishing! No build was perfect, but they worked just as you wanted them too.
2. Suit crafting. Ok, so it was after AoS, so what! May be the best part of the game. The moment "we" figured out that you could create a "70's" suit, and then to be able to add bonus...Still gives my a stiffy! AND nobody would have the exact gear you rocked.
3. Bank sitting. Nothing to do? GO hang out with your ppl. Nobody had "comms", everything was said in public, there for everyone to see.
Describe one of the greatest gaming moments of your life and why it stands out among others (Regarding multi player PC games):
Would have to be in DFO (correct name) at the launch of NA:
After playing in a large, powerful clan/alliance on EU a small group us the clan choose to split at NA launch and start our own thing. We decided that we couldn't compete with the ppl that could play all day and night to grind skills to max. So with archery being very OP at the early stages, the group all rolled female elf toons and ONLY worked our archery for a few day and decided that its time for the server to know our name. "Call Girlz" was formed. After a short, chaotic ride to the upper ends of the new NA server PVP hierarchy, we were surely caught as the mages began to gain ground. Clan bank stole, along with the clan name, Call Girlz fell to its fate. What fun...although shortly lived.
Explain briefly your least favorite kind of person to play with (characteristics, personality):
Loud mouthed, "battle comms" interrupting, right answer having, non-instruction following, selfish, loot mongers...think that about sums it up.
Describe an experience where you had to act as a leader (either planned or improvised):
Wow, good question. There were many occasions, while running my own clans, that come to mind. I think what stands out the most tho, is just dealing with ppl and how issues are handled. Its always for the good of the whole and some many not like it. That's how life works. As long as it doesn't deviate from why the clan was started and you can honestly answer that its for the good of the whole, those are the decisions leaders make.
Darkfall: Unholy Wars related (!)
Warrior, skirm, primalist or elementalist - Which will you prefer?:
Warrior/Prime (Pally style, but I'm up for a debate)
How much time will you be able to play Unholy Wars each day:
3-6hrs
How much Prowess does your character currently have?
33k
What crafting skills, if any, have you spent time working on?
Weapons/Armor and Bows are at 100ish
Are you able to communicate in comms during a fight? (This is a big one)
For sure. Keep it simple. Name. Location. Situation.
Clan related (!)
Why did you apply to Covert Operations?:
I would like to find a "smaller" clan, that enjoys me, as much as I enjoy them...while shitting on ppl. Not sure that CO is a good fit, either way, but that's what I'm looking for.
How will you be an asset to Covert Operations?:
Very selfless, self supported (although not the best gear), and I pride myself on following direction. With some coaching and support I believe I could become a strong member of an elite fighting unit.
Do you have any friends in the clan? If so, list who they are and give a brief history with them.
Negative
Previous clan(s) & the reason why you left:
Incognito...do I need to explain that?
Sick Bastards (after Incog)..didn't feel like I was PART of SB. Always on the outside looking in, so to speak. Lost interest in DFUW after that.
How involved were you in your previous clans? (Leadership positions, politics, etc):
Positions..? No. Always in comms. Always ready to drop what I'm doing to attack/defend/help. Always "involved".
I understand my prowess is low, I don't have a lot a pvp experience, and I'm not a badass crafter. I'm just looking for a clan that would be willing to invest some time and energy on a new, old player and I would be more then willing to contribute all I can in return. Thank you for taking the time to review my application, any feedback you could contribute (either good or bad) would be greatly appreciated. ~GetZ
